The keeper’s house and tower are closed for the 2024 season.
They will open for the summer season on June 17, 2025 and close on Sept 13, 2025.
Keeper’s House Hours will be
11 am – 3 pm, Tuesday – Friday
11 am – 1 pm on Saturday
Closed Sunday and Monday.
Groups wishing to visit outside regular hours may call the keeper’s house or email via the website contact page. Off-hours tour appointments are possible but not guaranteed, as they are dependent on the availability of volunteers.
Historical Society exhibits and art and crafts by local artists will be on display and friendly folks will be on-site to answer questions.
The trails are always open! Almost two miles of trails wind around Hockamock Head and give access to two beaches — Burying Point Beach on the harbor side of the peninsula and Long Point Beach on the ocean side. The trails are open from dawn to dusk. The rocking chairs on the keeper’s house porch are a fine place to sit and enjoy the view as you watch the lobster boats come and go.
